Suggestions please!!!!

So we're a few days into the school year and we've taken a turn for the worse. My sweet little O, who was SO excited the first day has now decided he never wants to go back! The second day he was a little teary eyed before school, although he also didn't feel great. By Sunday night he worked himself into a nervous frenzy and began crying at 7PM and finally cried himself to sleep by 8:30. Today was a complete disaster- Jeremiah had to carry him onto the bus bawling. Owen's reason for not wanting to go is because "it's too long". He has a ball while he's there, loves recess (of course), loves PE, loves his teacher, lunch, etc... But he just doesn't want to go. So if anyone has any suggestions on how to make this easier for him, please comment! We've tried rewards, pleading with him, getting mad, etc... HELP!

Drumroll please! Class of 2022!

Owen has made it to kindergarten! Today was his first day at Treynor Elementary and boy was he in heaven. I wish I could have bottled up all his excitement- he ate breakfast with his backpack on (and hardly ate as he was too nervous), he was ready and waiting for the bus 30 minutes before it's arrival, and he couldn't wait to jump OFF the bus to tell us all about his day. I, of course, had my moment of tears but was truly more excited for him than anything. I pray he continues his excitement for school throughout the year.... or at least until next week. I love you Little O, Tink, my little prince, Opie! Have an amazing first year of school.

Class of 2020!

Luker started the 2nd grade today. He's an old pro at this so it wasn't as exciting for him as it was his little brother. However, I think I saw a glimpse of excitement when he was getting on the bus and telling Owen all the things he had to look forward to. Luke is growing into quite a fine young man, agile athlete, and all around good kid. We look forward to enjoying so many things at Treynor in the next several years! May this be your best year yet, kiddo! We love you!

Class of 2009!

Whew! It's been a bit since I posted. We have had an extremely busy August. The whole fam travelled to Phoenix in early August to watch my commencement ceremony. It was a great time- we were able to stay at Grandma Mieska's place in Mesa. The boys loved sleeping on the air mattress and having the entire park and pool to themselves. As for graduation, 2 years of hard work is D.O.N.E! I couldn't be happier! I thank all of you that put up with my moaning and groaning, helping with my kids when I had to study, and supporting me through it all. Jeremiah, you are the greatest! I could not have accomplished any of this without you! All my love!

Go Cubs!....Iowa Cubs that is!

We spent a great family evening at the Omaha Royals vs. Iowa Cubs baseball game last Friday. The boys were in heaven... all 4 of them! I caught a T-shirt that was shot out into the crowd, Luke caught a baseball, Owen and Luke both won free gift certificates to a local restaurant for making their ball into the sunroof of a car as it drove around the outfield, we ate all kinds of ballpark junk food- I'd say it was a fabulous night! Oh, and we watched the fireworks after the game. Just a few highlights!
