Hot Dog Hot Dog Hot Diggity Dog!

For anyone familiar with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse you would know this tune is catchy! Jude LOVES Mickey and wanted to have him at his birthday party! So we celebrated with the family and friends last night. Jude's actualy birthday is tomorrow (March 30th) so we'll do a little celebrating again. He LOVED all his toys and was fun to watch opening his loot.

Finner Finner Chicken Dinner

This is what Jude calls his little brother- He can hardly talk but somehow he has this down! Finn was 6 weeks old on Friday! I can't believe how fast it's flown- I have one more week off and then back to work for 8 weeks and then summertime fun. My mom is taking 5 weeks off to watch Finn (Praise God for her!) We have a nanny scheduled for the month of May...so I feel better about going back to work with this all set into place.
Finn is starting to sleep better- I'll get a 4 hour stretch when he first lays down and then he's up every 2 hours. Hopefully he'll get into more of a schedule when my mom has him! He has a little skin problem right now- I thought it was just baby acne but then it started weeping one day. So we're lubing him up with ointments and it's getting better. He's a sweet little baby and a joy to our other boys!

Easter 2005!

I ran across a couple of photos of Lukie & Opie from Spring 2005. Luke was 3 1/2 & O was just 2. Wow! How time flies!!!

My Leprechaun is 6!!!

We had the annual Reuben Family Birthday party for Owen on Wednesday. Poor kid is destined to have corned beef forever on his big day. Dad saved the evening with BBQ ribs for the kids. Owen had a great day! Jeremiah and I were able to eat lunch with him at school and even spend some quality time at recess running around with all his friends. It's hilarious to watch all his classmates when we walk in the door- all of a sudden Owen is the "coolest" kid ever and everyone wants to sit next to him at lunch because we're there. Maybe we're the coolest parents ever- NOT!

GRRRRR- Luke's a BEAR now!

Luke had his annual Blue and Gold Cub Scout Banquet on Sunday. He loves his cub scout troop and has learned a lot the last couple of years.

Time is slipping by and Finn was 4 weeks old- 1 week ago!!! Haven't had a lot of time to update the blog :) He's a fabulous little newborn despite his love for midnight, 2 AM, and 4AM feedings- I guess I'm trying to keep in mind this won't be permanent and he loves cuddling with his mama at those horrific hours! I still love him and want to keep him :)

Uncle David and Finn

We were excited to see my brother and his family from Minnesota this weekend. David, Jessica, and Berklee came down to meet baby Finn and for a last-minute baby shower for their new little guy that should arrive mid-April! Finn was a champ and slept through most of the shower and dinner out that night. He's starting to fill out his newborn sleepers and I imagine will only have 1 or 2 more weeks in them. He FINALLY slept better last night and was only up twice. He's a champion eater and wants to nurse every 1 1/2-2 hours. So last night was a blessing!

Say Uncle!

The boys recently had a great time with their Uncle Zac. Most of their time spent together was pretending to be in a wrestling ring- they were even allowed to wrestle on my bed (this is not usually acceptable- but we make exceptions for Uncle Z). It was nice to get all the Mieska boys together!!!

It's another birthday month!

Opie and Juderbug have a birthday coming up soon! I can't believe Owen will be six and Jude is going to be 2 already!!! Time really does fly. Owen is going to have a small group of friends over after school and we'll hit ChuckECheese (UGH!) for an evening of pizza and games. And the little Juder is having a Mickey Mouse party at the end of March. He's O.B.S.E.S.S.E.D with Mickey Mouse Playhouse right now! Should be good times!

Luke is looking forward to the thaw so he can get going on soccer and football. This past week we had to sign Luke up for his spring sport and he just couldn't decide what to play, so what the heck, he's playing soccer, football, and baseball! Should be interesting running him everywhere- but we love it.

Finn is doing great as well- he's up to 7 pounds 12 ounces, so he surpassed his birthweight by 1 oz. at 2 weeks. He's such a cuddler and overall easygoing baby (THANK GOODNESS!). The boys love him to pieces and fight over who gets to hold him first or burp him next. Makes my life easier when they want to help out.
